Registration Process
Online registration is handled through Golf Registration Network. When you click the Register button, you will be redirected to their secure registration website. You will be asked to log in to your existing account or create a new account in order to complete your entry.
If you choose to enter the optional Skins Game during registration, it will be added to your shopping cart. You may open your shopping cart at any time before completing your purchase to remove the Skins Game if you decide not to participate.
Once your registration is submitted and payment is completed, changes to your registration cannot be made online. If you need assistance after submitting your entry, please contact the tournament committee at mdgamatchplay@gmail.com.

Sons of MDGA members, age 23 or younger
Past MDGA Match Play Champions
Other selected invitees
Additional eligibility verification may be conducted by the tournament committee.

Eligible players must be members of a Milwaukee District Golf Association (MDGA) member club listed below.

Milwaukee County Public Links Association (MCPLA) Invitations
Since 1950, one of the traditions of the Milwaukee District Match Play Championship has been to extend invitations to the Milwaukee County Public Links Association (MCPLA) club champions from the previous season.
If a club champion is unable to participate, the invitation will be extended to the club’s runner-up. If the runner-up is also unavailable, the MCPLA club may designate another eligible player to represent the club.
Participation and eligibility for MCPLA invitees are verified with the MCPLA President and the respective club presidents prior to the championship.

Regular Division
Senior Division (age 55+)
Senior Division entrants must be 55 years of age or older as of June 5, 2026. Entrants age 55 and over may enter either the Regular or Senior Division.
Handicap Index Requirement
Entrants must have a USGA Handicap Index of 10.0 or lower.

Entry Fee
The entry fee for the 2026 Milwaukee District Match Play Championship is $135.
The entry fee includes:
18-hole stroke play qualifying round
Golf cart for Friday
Friday lunch
Cart fees after the qualifying round will be paid directly by players.
Prizes & Awards
Prizes will be awarded in the form of pro shop gift certificates or pro shop credit. The Tournament Committee will determine prize distributions.

WSGA State Amateur Championship Exemption
The 2026 Milwaukee District Match Play Champion (Regular Division) will receive an exemption into the 2027 Wisconsin State Golf Association State Amateur Championship at The Club at Lac La Belle.
This exemption provides a direct path into the State Amateur for players who are not otherwise exempt.
Optional Skins Game
An optional cash skins game will be offered for the stroke play qualifying round only.
Entry fee: $20
Skins games are played within each division (Regular and Senior)
Players may enter the skins game during online registration or on-site the day of the qualifying round (cash only)
Participation in the skins game is optional and separate from the championship entry fee.
Cash Skins Game - Eligibility Notice
Participation in the optional cash skins game is not permitted for high school student-athletes who are subject to Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Rules of Eligibility, including amateur status provisions.
WIAA rules prohibit student-athletes from accepting or competing for cash or prize money based on athletic performance. To ensure compliance with these rules, high school students are not eligible to participate in the cash skins game, regardless of tournament eligibility.
All participants are responsible for ensuring their own eligibility.
WSGA Player of the Year Points
The Milwaukee District Match Play Championship is a Wisconsin State Golf Association (WSGA) Player of the Year points event for players competing in the Regular Division.
Points are awarded based on a player’s finishing position and the last round of match play reached, as outlined below.
Points Breakdown – Regular Division
Stroke Play Medalist: 50 points
5th Place / Round of 16: 100 points
Quarterfinalists (4th): 145 points
Semifinalists (3rd): 225 points
Runner-up (2nd): 350 points
Champion (1st): 500 points
Points are awarded only to players who advance to match play, and are applied to the 2026 WSGA Player of the Year standings. Players earn points based on the furthest round reached.
Mail-In Registration (Optional)
We encourage participants to register using the online registration system.
Players who wish to enter by mail may request an entry form from the Tournament Director. Completed entry forms must be submitted along with a check for $135, payable to MDGA Match Play, and mailed to:
